Effective Witness

Our goal as a church is to be an 'Effective Witness' that makes a significant difference beyond the four walls of our church building by reaching out to our local community and to encourage our congregation to share their Faith in their workplaces, universities and neighbourhoods. On Spon End we have an outreach Cafe called 'Oasis' which is staffed by volunteers from Elim. Oasis provides breakfast for children before school, a weekly lunch club,  Wednesday night youth cafe, and is open daily for people to call in for 'coffee, clothing and care!'

We also support overseas mission work in a number of different countries where the Christian message is being shared with people who have yet to find Jesus for themselves. In particular, through Elim Missions, we support the Elim churches in Guyana, South America, our former Youth Pastor Dave Hodgson who now works for Elim in Spain, and a Coventry-based Christian charity working in India and Romania called Interarc.

The Church Urban Fund are currently helping to resource ideas for the future of Oasis Coffee Shop.
