Vision and Values

Every church needs to ask itself, ‘Why are we here?’ At Coventry Elim, we have a clear answer to that question. We believe God has called us to ‘Reach Up and Reach Out’. Our purpose is to reach up to God and reach out to others. In order to achieve this and become all that God has planned for us, we have five core values that shape everything our church does….

Dynamic WORSHIP     Worship is integral to everything that we do. At Coventry Elim we encourage people to take part in our contemporary corporate worship, as well as to worship God in our everyday lives.

Devoted to PRAYER   Prayer is a vital part of our church life and under-girds all that we seek to achieve.  Each week there are a variety of different times when people can meet with others to seek God together.

Radical DISCIPLESHIP      Discipleship basically means ‘Learning to follow’. In our case, we follow Jesus. We believe this involves both study and service. At Coventry Elim we give opportunity for people to learn through relevant teaching, and to serve God in a variety of ways.

Strong RELATIONSHIPS     At Coventry Elim, the building of strong relationships is given high priority. We encourage people not just to attend on a Sunday, but also to commit to a Life Group during the week where healthy relationships can  grow.

Effective WITNESS   We want to tell other people about the difference God has made in our lives. As well as placing a high value on reaching our local community and supporting mission work around the world, we also believe that all of us have a personal responsibility to share our faith with others wherever we are.
